Had a great time at life drawing this week. Spent some time drawing for my teacher and some time drawing for myself. I think in the end, I found a balance between both styles. Ultimately, I had fun exploring this way, and that’s what matters most I think.
Now to work more an accuracy. (There’s always something to work on, isn’t there?) :D
we’re starting frame by frame animation in class and i wanted to practice, except i don’t have flash (or animation knowledge for that matter), so i hacked this together in photoshop and image ready.
❤ Happy Valentine’s day! ❤ Boy, do my hands hurt after drawing all these, but I think it was well worth it! My favorite is a tie between fancily dressed frogs and Beatrice. You can print these cards out and give them to cuties, or do whatever you like with them! Enjoy! (◕‿◕✿)

i drew over a photo i took a few months ago of a statue i found at an art gallery out in the country. i don’t know the artist that sculpted the head, but it was taken at the alton mills gallery.
Last week was a bit of a challenge for life drawing… but I’m definitely getting closer to finding a nice balance between gesture, contour and structure. Most importantly, working faster. That’s always a good thing!
