Yep. Human zoos were a thing. Not only in America, but in a lot of countries in Europe. Matter of fact, it was Europe that started the terrible exhibits back in the 1800s, then New York started having the “zoos” in the 20th century. Over 28 million white people would go to these “zoos” to see hundreds of black and indigenous people as a “major attraction”.
People who suffered in these zoos might still be alive today.
Do not let this be lost in history.
This is absolutely horrifying, and to make it even worse, this is the first time I’ve even heard of it. The levels of sugarcoating and erasure of racism in our history books is staggering.
He’s a social conservative. So he’s not going to score highly on LGBTQ rights, women’s rights, etc. He opposes abortion and voted against the Trans rights bills, twice.
But I have seen very little in the way of bigoted things or policies from him (compared to say Maxime Bernier, Kevin O’Leary or Kellie Leitch). I guess we’ll have to wait and see what his ‘plans’ are.
New Delilah Dirk “Travel Posters” and an INPRNT Free Int’l Shipping Weekend!
Confidential to the young woman I met at VanCAF who was looking for a print of the DD “Gibraltar” poster:
you said, “I would like that poster,” and I said, “I ran out. Remind me to put it up on INPRNT” and you said, “we’ll see,” and I said, “look, INPRNT is about due for a Free International Shipping weekend; there will probably be one this coming weekend so if you get in touch with me I’ll let you know about that.” Well, you didn’t get in touch with me, so this post is for you.
INPRNT is, hilariously – EXACTLY AS PREDICTED – doing a Free International Shipping weekend right this very weekend, so if you’re still interested in that print, heeeere is the link for you:
okay so I’ve seen a lot of artists, including myself, make this common mistake of coloring the palm of a hand(and the sole of a foot) as the same color as the person’s skin tone.
but in fact ,palms and soles are a different color compare to our skin
this is due to the lack of Melanin on them
hope this helps!
Don’t put this fucking whitewashing bullshit on my feed
Huh???????????
IM SCREAMING
LMFAOOOOO
local tumblr user accidentally reveals they have never seen a black person
Eplans.com is a website that sells blueprints for houses.
This might not seem that helpful but if you want a characters house you can make selections based on what sort of house you want them to live in.
Then browse through the results and find the house you want. Then you can view the blueprints and have a room layout for that house, which can help with visualising the space they live in.
A PSA regarding following your favorite indie comics on their website. Yes you can see how I draw myself always different hahaha.
We are improving our website! now you can find a RSS feed for each language in www.talesofnothing.com! also Fanny took a little free time to write this to help you not only follow our comic but many more you may have outside comic platforms!

Blood is thicker than water The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.
Meaning that relationships formed by choice are stronger than those formed by birth.
Let’s not forget that “Jack of all trades, master of none” ends with “But better than a master of one.”
It means that being equally good/average at everything is much better than being perfect at one thing and sucking at everything else. So don’t worry if you’re not perfect at something you do! Being okay is better!
It goes to show that conformity isn’t always a good thing. And that just because more than one person has the same idea, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good idea.
what the fuck why haven’t i heard the full version to any of these
“Birds of a feather flock together” ends with “until the cat comes.”
It’s actually a warning about fair-weather friends, not an assessment of how complementary people are.
I’ve always felt like these were cut down on purpose.
I really like these phrases and plan on spreading this knowledge.
The early bird catches the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
I want to make designs out of these.
Funny how all the half-finished ones encourage uniformity and upholding the status-quo, while the complete proverbs encourage like…living exciting, eclectic lives driven by choice and personal passion.
