You GUYS.
First of all, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Secondly, I finally finished this poster that I’ve been working on for so long. Here’s a big, fat process post for you to enjoy!
This poster was created as a reward for backers who supported my Kickstarter campaign, which wrapped up on November 20th. I’m getting them printed locally here in Oregon, and I should have a pretty good amount left over to sell at shows and online in 2015.
I hope it’s a great year for everyone!

PART 2 OF 2
As discussed on the Comedy Bang Bang Podcast Best of 2014 (Part 3) that was released yesterday, here are these.
Scott Aukerman meant to text me a video message. He mistakenly sent me a picture of himself with his eyes closed. I reciprocated. We then proceeded to trade eyes-closed selfies all day long (not, as we mistakenly declared in the podcast, over the course of weeks). We never discussed what we were doing while we were doing it.
Start at the top.

Another comic I started last night. This one is basically about what it was like being African American in high school, minus the supernatural transformation at the end.

This is a piece I started and wanted to show how I usually start my doodles. usually goes about 2 rough passes then a ‘clean’ line. My cleanup is shite though. I need to improve. regardless I still enjoy doodling this.
More to come on this piece titled “Dickless”

Hazel didn’t really evolve very much in the design process, but here’s some early sketches of her from 2010-2011.

Evolution of “Lis” from Seconds.
Development sketches, 2010-2011. The final sketch (in leopard print) is an outfit sketch from later in the comics process, mid-2013, after I’d drawn her in the comic a bunch of times.

My fan art of Katie from Bryan Lee O’Malley’s brilliant recent graphic novel, Seconds. The man is a master storyteller with such a distinct voice. The full-color art is gorgeous. I highly recommend you pick up a copy!

This is the first “real” sketch I did of Katie and Hazel in fall 2010, about 4 years ago, when I was preparing to pitch Seconds to publishers.
