Cleaning out my filing cabinet, I found this handout that I made for my mini-comics class. Hope it’s helpful! Remember, it ain’t only for comics. Self-publish short stories, collections of drawings or sketches, or blank for journals/sketchbooks, etc.

REMINDER PEOPLE. THIS IS HOW IT WORKS
I… I don’t typically repost content or, when I do, repost non-Doctor Who content. But… This is such a brilliant electoral system! Particularly since Australia has mandatory voting for all citizens, rather than implementing draconian restrictions to suppress votes as is done in the states.
Wouldja look at that, a voting system that actually makes sense.
This is how we do it in San Francisco, too.

“Signature Goodbye” - Nick Sumida 2013
This is a reworking of a comic I made about a year ago which you can read HERE
The reason I reworked the comic was because I liked the gag, and wanted to include it in my upcoming Snackies collection from Youth in Decline, but I felt that the comic from a year ago was aesthetically pretty different from how I draw now (both versions are still in my rough/fast style, but noticeably separate). Reading it again, I had new ideas for a different take on the joke, and decided it was worth it to make this revamped version and include it in the next Snackies mini.
This will be the last Snackies comic I’ll be posting before the book’s release next year! The book, collecting about 70+ pages of my comics, will be half stuff published on my tumblr, and half new unpublished comics. I’ll be posting about it closer to the release, but in the meantime I’ll be posting side projects and previews for upcoming projects :)

Here’s my first year film from Calarts! About a girl who’s perception of the people around her is distorted after receiving an upsetting text.
I didn’t devote as much time as I wanted to animating it because of other LIFE events, but it was an amazing learning experience and I’m hoping that at least one person out there will laugh at it!
