Interviewer: Mads Mikkelsen is a pretty incredible actor—

Gillian Anderson: He is an incredible actor.

Interviewer: What’s it like working with him?

Gillian Anderson: Intense. Most of our scenes are sitting across from each other in my house. We stare at each other a lot. Recently somebody showed me a little clip that somebody had put together of us just staring, clips of us staring at each other back and forth for like a minute and a half. [x]

The Toronto Comic Arts Festival 2015 will be May 9-10, 2015 (with a full day of professional development on May 8)!

For comic artists/publishers, applications will be open from August 1, 2014 to October 17, 2014.

Note that this is a juried process (all applications are reviewed), and there are a large number of submissions each year, including artists from all over the world. Even if you are not exhibiting, I highly recommend checking out this free event - it’s an excellent experience for creators!

Also, some additional info from the website on TCAF at international events!

It’s also becoming a year-round festival in many ways, as TCAF begins to exhibit as an organization at other shows around the world, fulfilling our mandate to promote Canadian authors and their works. This year, if all goes according to plan, we’ll hopefully see you in England, Japan, and France. Developing these international relationships, opening up opportunities for our exhibiting artists at home and abroad, that’s what we’re all about, and we’re really looking forward to further growth along those lines in the years to come.

If you are a creator who has exhibited at TCAF who is interested in joining us on one of our overseas adventures, contact us and let us know! We’ll be offering more details here soon.

Tiny Hannibal has packed his bags and is ready to #EatTheCon!

Want to win one of these little guys? Tiny Hannibal will be holding tiny signs (like the one above) around San Diego with portions of a code phrase. He’ll share one piece of that three-part code each day (Thursday - Saturday).

On Saturday, when he releases the final piece of the code, the first FOUR people to get to the Funko Booth at Comic-Con and tell them the full code will get their bloody paws on one of the new Hannibal Funko dolls that won’t even be released until November! There may or may not be consolation prizes for a few more people that aren’t quite as quick to the booth.

HINT: There are.

For those of you at home, don’t fret! Once you see tiny Hannibal share the final piece of the code on Saturday, DM us @nbchannibal on Twitter with the full code AND the #EatTheCon hashtag to be entered for a chance to win an SDCC exclusive Hannibal dolls of your very own.

OMG, I still have a chance to get one of these!!

To Anon, but also anyone else

hkrieg:

The ask I received was obviously very personal, so I don’t want to publish it, but to super summarize:
Anon is struggling with art block and depression, and is at a point where they feel that everything they produce is garbage. Everything makes them feel terrible, and they’re looking for some advice.

The ask really hit home with me, and since it’s something I struggle with all the time, I don’t really feel qualified enough to answer. However, I once got some advice from Meredith Gran that’s really helped me since, so I will share THAT instead under a cut

I was feeling really negative about everything this week and that’s not really like me but then Todd gave me 90% on all of the muscles that I handed in and I think I’m gonna cry.
